:: Movie Starvation

Friday. A looooong day for me. A dreadful cold decided to attack me and my daughter.

I’m cranky and sleepy and she has tummy ache L

I’ve been in bed most of the day and as time was killing me as it passed too freakin’ slow I starved for a good movie to watch…flipped channels and nothing was good…searched for some disc that I haven’t watched yet found only A night at the museum and it didn’t sound interesting…and as I had to settle for friends and desperate housewives.

I remembered some great scenes from movies I really enjoyed.

  • Basket ball diaries à Leonardo de caprio ….that guy was doomed by his looks in my humble opinion as in this movie in particular he was so young in his teens yet preformed one of the greatest acting I’ve ever seen

  • Dirty Dancing à Patrick swayze …Last Dance…he gave Baby a look full of love that it made me ache. That guy was originally a ballet dancer and after a knee surgery he settled for acting not to mention the great hit he sang in the same movie..She’s like the wind.

  • 300 à I loved the relationship between the King and his wife…for me, that’s perfection…Exactly my kind of characters…when strength, passion, trust and morals melt into two harmonious lovers that could fill the world with their flare.

  • Apocalypto à Not single English word and not one single superstar yet pure Art…This is a fighter movie…of you have the spirit in you, it’s fuel!!

By the way..guess who’s the great director…Mel pasha Gibson :P

  • Funny girl à Barbra Streisand... yes yes…I like itand it cheers me up...an oldie I’m sure 99% of you guys never heard of…but I was always attracted to two facts in this musical…young talents make it from scratch…and Omar Alsherif falling for her despite the nose …get the drift?! OK J

  • ROCKY à call me whatever you want but I’d watch any part of Rocky’s anytime…that Bill Conti guy has encrypted his name in history with that music..Empowering, emotional and just great!

  • Shrek à I don’t need to comment on that one…one of the greatest cartoons ever done and greaaaaaaat soundtrack.

  • The truth about cats and dogs, The Holiday, Love Affair, Until September and Notting Hill…they are all so real when it comes to romance, relations and mixed emotions.

  • Silence of the lambs à every word..sound.. meaning and look made me shiver. Can’t really say much because if you like it you’ll know what I want to say.

  • I am usually not very keen about thrillers and scary movies simply because I really get scared…ever since I watched the exorcist when I was a little girl I knew I would never have the heart for frightening films but The Sixth Sense and The Others have that thing…an irresistible thing that would keep me watch…
  • Sleepless in Seattle and almost every Hanks and Meg movie…for nothing but that crazy chemistry between them.

  • Show me Denzel, De Nero, Hopkins, Crow, Nicholson and Johnny depp any time and a great performance is guaranteed.

I just thought of who I’d want to play me in a movie…Kate winslet would be great…have you guys watched the Tresor Ad. I don’t like that scent but I sure loved the ad.

Now that I’ve mentioned about 10% of what I like…I need to watch something!!!
NOW!
